Mano a Mano 2014 receives a silver medal at Mundus Vini

Mano a Mano 2014 receives a silver medal at the Mundus Vini International Awards recently celebrated in Germany. These awards are one of the most prestigious worldwide, and it is especially relevant in central European countries.

This medal endorses a wine that has been well received by critics at home and abroad for its excellent value for money. Guía Peñín 2017 has awarded Mano a Mano 2017 91 points, while for the American critic, Josh Reynolds, it deserved 90 points.

The grapes used for making Mano a Mano are harvested from a plot called La Dehesa, where year after year the bodega’s technical team, led by its oenologist, Asunción Yébenes, selects the fruit from its different sectors and has learnt what the land is able to produce. The 2014 vintage is the result of all this knowledge, of the highest exigency in all the winemaking processes and an especially favourable climate, which was less extreme than it usually is in this area, thus favouring an excellent maturation and health of the fruit.

With these ingredients, Mano a Mano 2014 can only become a great wine that is fresh on the nose, and powerful and tasty on the palate with a mature and pleasant tannin.

To all this, we have to add that we have taken Mano a Mano’s characteristic image a step further, becoming a wine with its own identity and a young and fresh nature, though also expressing the maturity and quality it has reached throughout these years.
